No Apologies

Before I go much further I need to share that there's a little voice that keeps telling me that what I'm doing here isn't really something others want to read or process. I get tempted to close up and keep it all to myself. I'm sharing because this processing is part of the journey of why I am choosing to create works of art and it is a way to be more collected in thought and purpose. If someone finds something of value in these words or works of art, that is a praise to God and something I will trust Him with. For me, I am thankful to have a keyboard to type out these rather random, yet encouraging points of focus for my own personal direction in pursuing something that's been a dream of mine and is now coming to a new formation and a possible realization.

"Art is inherently manifesting ideas and concepts into pictures and words that we are at a loss to describe plainly. Similarly, when God came down and became a man, He put the unfathomable, indescribable God into a human image. He had a face and a form. We, as Christians, ultimately see the entire universe filled with God, so our art comes from that same gut feeling that drives us to express the beauty and majesty of what we see around us and in us. It can be controversial and brazen to many, but it is an expression of the truth we have found deep within our souls."  ~ Zachary Perkins, Relevant Magazine
